Amazing Tamang Heritage Trek with Excellent Guide & Porter

      |   Double Crown, United States

We had an incredible time on the Tamang Heritage Trek with our guide Bishnu and our porter Nibhesh. We weren't sure which company we were going to trek with upon arrival in Kathmandu, but while walking in the Thamel district we stumbled across their shop, and they had a sign outside with a long list of possible treks that were affordably priced. We decided to talk to them and within half an hour had a customized trek at a price that was reasonable. From then on everything went smoothly - meals, tea and tea houses were all arranged for us, and our guide/porter addressed any concerns we had professionally the entire time. They also gave us a nice history of the region as we walked, as well as during our meals. We cannot recommend this company, our guide and porter, or this particular trek enough!

    Trekking Everest Base Camp

      |   JESUS BURGUETE, Spain

Trekking organized by Nepal from the top of the world adventure agency, in which the head of the agency, (Nepal is called), provided everything and provided everything necessary to not have even the slightest problem in the face of any adversity, such as flights to lukla, which are usually complicated by clouds, with very professional and friendly guides as well as sherpas, which made it an unforgettable trekking, also communicating with him in Spanish, totally recommended. We will contact him again for the next adventure through Nepal without a doubt since a trekking that could have been very complicated, made it very simple.

  • First time traveled to Nepal. Wαnted to do some sightseeing in Kathmandu and of course an easy trekking tour (you' re in Nepal!!). I was lucky cause this agency was less than 1 minute walking from my hotel. Janardan, the owner, arranged for me a temple tour around Kathmandu the next day. Being satisfied then I decided to plan the rest of my journey with him. I didn't have many days, so I booked the short Annapurna trek (4-days), which is actually tiring with many steps and uphill routes (I recommend doing the longer trek which is easier and more things to see) and then spend 3 days in Chitwan National Park. Transportation, food, overnights at hotels and lodges, tours, guides and park entry fees were included. Price was fair! Kathmandu temples are must see sights and very spiritual. I thinκ 1 day is enough. Annapurna trek was the highlight of my trip with breathtaking views of the Himalayas at Poonhill but also during our trek. My guide, Bibek, was really nice and very helpful. Thank you and sorry for many stops during trekking :) Chitwan park was ok, with some wildlife to watch, safari tour and canoeing at the river. Going from snowy mountain to a tropical forest in 1 day is always interesting. In general Top of the World Adventure is a great agency in which you can buy a variety of tours and activities or you can custom your own trip. Staff were really friendly and flexible in everything you may need. If ever return to Nepal I will definitely trust this agency again !

Annapurna Circuit with super guide Jiwan

      |   tapehavo, Netherlands

Quite spontanously my boyfriend and i booked the Annapurna Circuit with Top of The World. When we arrived in Kathmandu we visited several agencies but Janardan, from 8848 Hostels and Top of the World, gave us a good feeling. And our hike was amazing and that was mainly because of our fantastic guide Jiwan!! Jiwan is from Nepal and born in the Everest region so he knows a lot about the mountains and altitude sickness. Jiwan knows the way and is very confident, we felt really safe and trusted him. He could tell us a lot about the local cultural, the history and traditions which was very interesting. The service was excellent: the rooms Jiwan booked for us were great, he brought (and carried!!) fresh fruits for us for every day and also some cookies or lychee juice so we always had energy to walk and climb. Mmm yummy! And besides that, he made it really clear that it is our trip and our holiday. So if we wanted to change the itinary (for having an extra relaxing day) this was always possible and Jiwan helped us making the right decisions because he knows the mountain region very well. Jiwan is also very funny and nice company. He learned our card games very quick and taught us some Nepalese games and usefull words as well ;) So a very big thanks to Top of the World and especially to our guide Jiwan for a fantastic hike!! :)

Great experience hiking Poon Hill in 3 days.

      |   Camden B, United Kingdom

We had an excellent time hiking to Poon Hill. We had talked to several other agencies about doing a 3-day trek, and they had all said no. We happened upon Top of the World by accident, and they made it happen! Our guide, Raju was friendly, helpful and professional. He took care of everything and made sure that we had clean rooms and warm food in a timely manner. We were very happy that we found them, and would recommend them to anyone hoping to do a trek in the Annapurna National Park.

Great trip, improvement on exceptions needed

      |   Chris_van_Baal, Netherlands

We booked a Mount Everest Base Camp trekking at Top of the World. The Itinerary was very clear and the price was good. The trip itself was amazing. Our guide Pasang helped us with everything and showed us around the Khumbu region. So the experience of the trekking itself was almost flawless. The only downside experienced with Top of the World was at the end. When we wanted to return our airline company did not had flights left for that day. Since we had an open ticket it wouldn’t be an problem to book a new ticket and ask for a refund for the original, according to the employee that picked us from the airport on behalf of Top of the World. Back in Kathmandu we had the biggest trouble to get a full refund from Top of the World. According to the owner the price printed on the ticket was not the amount we could get back. The refund amount varied from 50% to 90%. After lots of quarreling we accepted a $30 loss on our refund. This issues could have been solved with more elegance by Top of the World.
